National Lok Adalat for 2020 

As approved by Hon’ble Mr. Justice N.V. Ramana, Judge, Supreme Court of India & Executive Chairman, National Legal Services Authority, National Lok Adalats will be held on 2nd Saturdays of February, April, July, September and December during the year 2020 on all subject matters.  His Lordship has also directed that wide publicity of the National Lok Adalats, including advertisement in Newspapers, shall be given by the State Legal Services Authorities.  A Schedule for National Lok Adalats to be held in the year 2020 is as under:

 2.        The following types of cases (pre-litigation and pending) may be taken up for settlement in the aforesaid National Lok Adalats

Pre-litigation:

 

(i)               NI Act cases under Section 138;

(ii)             Money Recovery cases;

(iii)          Labour disputes cases;

(iv)           Electricity and Water Bills cases (excluding non- compoundable);

(v)             Maintenance Cases;

(vi)           Others (Criminal Compoundable and other Civil disputes)

Pending in the Courts:

(i)         Criminal Compoundable Offences;

(ii)     NI Act cases under Section 138;

(iii)           Money Recovery cases;

(iv)           MACT cases;

(v)             Labour dispute cases;

(vi)           Electricity and Water Bills cases (excluding non-compoundable);

(vii)        Matrimonial disputes (except divorce);

(viii)      Land Acquisition cases;

(ix)           Services matters relating to pay and allowances and retiral benefits;

(x)             Revenue cases (pending in District Courts and High Courts only);

(xi)          Other civil cases (rent, easmentary rights, injunction suits, specific performance suits)etc.;
